If what we read is to be believed then Britain is due to be hit by the tail-end of up to three hurricanes or tropical storms in the next two months, according to weather forecasters.

Britain is apparently more at risk this autumn as the US has forecast the worst hurricane season for several years. Thankfully, the Met Office has stated that Britain won’t be battered by weather anywhere near as severe as that which has recently battered the US and Caribbean, but we could face winds of up to 70mph and pockets of heavy rain. Britain often received the remnants of hurricanes coming across the Atlantic to the UK, although usually when they reach us they are thankfully very different beasts.

Autumn is always a period of change as we move from the highs of late summer into the cooler lows of autumn and changeable, notably stormier weather is usually on the cards.

Blustery wet weather is just part of the joys of living in England and we’re not only used to it but its almost ingrained into the British way of life. Adventurer and legendary explorer Ranulph Fiennes famously once said, “there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing”, and we guess he should know.

Thankfully, Montgomery Duffle coats have got everything covered when it comes to facing the elements in style. From the super cool trench coat or hipster tweed jacket to the iconic super warm original duffle coat, you will have everything you need to make the most of every wonderfully blustery damp day.
