Out with the old, in with the new

With summer just around the corner, now’s the perfect opportunity to give your wardrobe a bit of a revamp. It’s out with the old and in with the new, and with so many fabulous new season styles on offer there’s never been a better time to indulge in a bit of a shopping spree.

But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Before we can fill our wardrobes with all that new season goodness we’re going to need to make some space, so it’s time to clear the decks and have a thorough sort-out to ensure all those beautiful new clothes can find their home.

When giving your wardrobe a bit of a once-over there’s one rule you need to remember—it’s time to be ruthless. If you haven’t worn an item of clothing in over a season you need to get rid of it, because if you haven’t worn it this year then chances are you won’t next year either. In doing so you’ll be making space for clothes you definitely will be wearing again, so you owe it to those new purchases to give them some proper space in your life.

Any winter clothes that’ll be making a reappearance should ideally be stored elsewhere for the summer (or at least kept to a small section at one end of your wardrobe), and once you’ve had a proper clear out you’ll feel a whole lot lighter. But, your wardrobe might be feeling a little empty, so why no re-fill it?

There’s nothing better than being able to get your summer wardrobe organised, so get out there and see what stylish beauties you can uncover. The high street will be full of gorgeous new pieces to get you out of those layers and back to baring some skin, so don’t be shy—it’s all about indulgence, so throw out the old and bring in the new and you’ll have a summer wardrobe you can be proud of.
