Bring some coral into your summer
If the weather of late is leaving you longing for some long, hot lazy days in the tropics, you’re not alone. You know the places—somewhere that you can scuba dive and explore coral reefs in crystal clear water, lazing around on pristine beaches and sipping a cocktail by the pool. If that sounds appealing, then you’re going to love the hot trend of the moment—coral.
Bringing some coral into your summer wardrobe can be a great way to brighten things up a bit. You may not be in the tropics just yet but that doesn’t mean you can’t pretend—a few key pieces of coral attire could leave you drifting off to the coral reef of your imagination, far away from the floods and midwinter chill of the UK.
To work the look you can go as full-on or as subtle as you please. A coral dress would be a great choice for hot summer days, but if you’re not feeling the all-over coral look then you can keep it subtle and sophisticated by working a few smaller items into your wardrobe—a simple coral top and some skinny jeans, for example, or perhaps a pair of coral shoes.
Work wear can be given a pop of colour with a coral belt or handbag, or perhaps go for a beautifully tailored blazer or skirt in a gorgeous pale pastel shade. You might even be able to find coral rain macs, cardis or thin overcoats to cover up when the sun goes in—there’s no end to the possibilities of how to wear this trend, and with so many options filling the high street you really can’t go wrong. So, make sure to bring some coral into your summer and you’ll be in the tropics before you know it.
