Stay warm this season

If you’ve yet to get your winter woollies out, what are you waiting for? Getting used to autumnal dressing may take a bit of adjustment (and a bit of shivering before you get the hang of things. We speak from experience) but it’s high time you got some practice in, because with the mercury dropping at an alarming rate you need to get things organised to ensure you’ll stay warm and cosy for the next few months.

Jumpers should comprise a key part of your autumn wardrobe for style and practicality in one handy package, and this year you’ve got plenty of options. A good old chunky knit will never go out of fashion but make sure to consider the statement jumper, animal motifs and seasonal colours too—emerald greens and berry shades should be at the heart of your wardrobe this year, and don’t be afraid to play around with textures either.

But, the choices don’t stop there. You might not want a full-on winter coat just yet and that means you can get a bit creative in your outerwear choices, with fleeces being first on the agenda. A good fleece will keep you cosy in even the chilliest of temperatures, or for something a bit different you could always go for a body warmer. These are ideal and can provide some much-needed coverage for your core without leaving you sweltering, and on a similar note you could throw a vest over a sweater or shirt to provide a valuable (yet not overwhelming) extra layer.

It’s all about being prepared and having plenty of options that can be layered up or taken off to ensure you can keep at the ideal temperature, and of course, don’t forget your trusty duffle coat for when the temperature really starts to drop.
