Start as you mean to go on

Happy New Year! We hope you all enjoyed the festive season as much as we did, and now all the decorations are being packed away and work’s returning to normal it’s time to get back to reality. But, that doesn’t mean you need to keep on doing the same old thing. With a new year comes the chance for a fresh start, so why not mix things up a bit? It’s a great opportunity to take stock of things, and in the world of fashion that could easily mean taking a look at your clothing choices.

Are you getting a bit bored of your usual style? We thought so. January is a great time to take a cold, hard look at your wardrobe to see if it’s really living up to expectations, and if it isn’t you could go and hit all those new year sales to ensure you can re-stock with style. Make sure to keep an eye out for pieces that will see you through this season and beyond, and don’t be afraid to look for winter clothes either—yes, it might seem a bit early yet, but if you can uncover a duffle coat (for example) at a bargain price you’ll have it ready and waiting for when the temperature starts to drop.

You’ll want to make sure you stay on-trend to really set the fashion world alight, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune in the process. Another new year’s resolution could easily be keeping an eye on the bank balance, but you don’t have to settle for second best—far from it. All you have to do is be a bit savvy with your clothing choices, so as well as keeping a close eye out for sales make sure to scour vintage clothing stores and even charity shops to see what bargains you can uncover. This means you’ll be able to develop your own street style too, something that’s far more covetable than anything you’ll see on the runway, so make sure to re-evaluate your wardrobe and keep an eye out for some fashion bargains and you’ll be able to start the year as you mean to go on—with a truly stylish spring in your step.
